The Department of Public Works and Agriculture in the Government of Fujairah has completed the fourth phase of the internal road network in the emirate, with a length of 20 kilometers, which included 12 areas.
The department is working through the projects it is implementing to update the infrastructure services of internal roads and follow up on their permanent maintenance with high quality in order to operate them with high efficiency, in cooperation with its strategic partners in the emirate.
Salem Al-Makshah, Director of the Public Works and Agriculture Department in the Fujairah Government, said that the department is close to completing the fourth phase of internal roads in the emirate by 100%, which included the construction of new roads, distributed over 12 areas: "Al-Bidya, Al-Akamiya, Roll Dibba Phase 1 and Roll Dibba Phase 2, Al-Rumani, Al-Ghazimri, where the internal roads were completed, Al-Rughailat area, Al-Muraishid area, and Qadna area, where the second phase was completed, and Al-Hulaifat area, where 90% of the work was completed, indicating that these local roads were implemented according to standard specifications to serve the residents and achieve the safety and security of those who use these roads, and that other phases will follow to cover all the needs of the Emirate of Fujairah." Al-Maksah pointed out that the third phase of the internal road network in the emirate was completed this year, with a length of 47 kilometers, and included 15 areas in the emirate, noting that the Fujairah government continues its tireless efforts to implement development plans that keep pace with the urban and population growth that the emirate will witness, to enhance tourism and economic activity, and direct investment towards building roads and developing appropriate infrastructure in the long term.
