Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, the Fujairah Government's Public Works and Agriculture Department has begun implementing the seventh phase of the internal road network in various cities and regions of the Emirate of Fujairah.
Salem Al-Makshah, Director of the Public Works and Agriculture Department, confirmed that the department, under the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Fujairah, has begun implementing its seventh phase of the internal roads project in the emirate, with a length of 70 kilometers. The road network is distributed in various regions of the emirate, namely: Qarat, Marbah, Qidfa, Al-Bidya, and the Al-Rifaa and Al-Hizam areas in Dibba Al-Fujairah. He stated that the department, in its sixth phase of the internal road network, was able to implement internal road works in 6 industrial areas, thanks to the efforts of the project workers in the emirate, including: Al-Hail Industrial Area, Thuban Industrial Area in Fujairah, and the industrial areas in Dibba, Dhudna, Al-Bidya, and Al-Hala, affiliated with the city of Dibba Al-Fujairah. Salem Al-Makshah pointed out that the sixth phase of the project targeted 15 areas and service institutions in several areas with a length of 60 kilometers.
He stressed that the development project of Mohammed Bin Matar Street, extending from Al Saif Roundabout to Al Qasr Street intersection, with a length of 3 km, has been completed. The project included expanding it to 3 lanes in each direction and lighting it completely. He noted the Fujairah government’s interest in the security and safety of the residents of the area, which allows them to easily pass and go to their homes. He added that the implementation of internal road works in coordination with the Fujairah and Dibba Al Fujairah municipalities included lighting the roads in addition to providing them with guidance and traffic signs and artificial speed bumps, which helps regulate traffic and achieve public safety for drivers.
