In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, the Department of Public Works and Agriculture in the Fujairah Government has completed the second phase of the internal road network in the emirate, with a length of 58 kilometers, which included 14 areas.
The Department of Public Works and Agriculture in the Fujairah Government is working on planning the road infrastructure with high quality, and introducing continuous improvements to it, to provide comfort and well-being for residents, in cooperation with its strategic partners represented by: Fujairah Municipalities, Dibba Al Fujairah, and the Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation.
Director of the Department of Public Works and Agriculture in the Government of Fujairah, Salem Al-Makshah, said that the Department of Public Works, in cooperation with its strategic partners, is close to completing the second phase of internal roads in the emirate, at a rate exceeding 95%, which included the construction of new roads between neighborhoods in residential areas, distributed over 14 areas: Wadi Mai, Hafra, Al-Bathna, Al-Ghazimri, Masafi, Awhala, Ghob, Al-Balida, Al-Akamiya, Wadi Al-Abbadlah, and the area of Wam, Al-Hala, Sarram, and Al-Tuwaiyin. These local roads were implemented as part of the emirate’s modern road system, which will be followed by a third and fourth phase, to cover all the needs of the emirate’s areas. Al-Maksah pointed out that the first phase of the internal road network, which was completed by the Department of Public Works and Agriculture last year, included paving 57 kilometres in 15 areas, stressing that the road projects implemented by the department have contributed to providing high-quality infrastructure, increasing the capacity of roads, and achieving smooth movement of residents and visitors to the emirate.
