Director of the Public Works and Agriculture Department in the Government of Fujairah, Salem Al-Maksah, revealed that his department has completed the first phase of the internal road network in the emirate, with a length of 57 kilometers, which included 15 areas, during the past year, in cooperation with the towns of Fujairah and Dibba Al-Fujairah and the Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince. Al-Maksah pointed out that the roads implemented by the department in cooperation with its strategic partners are part of the emirate’s modern road system, as the first phase of internal roads has been completed, which included 15 areas: the Dhudna area with a length of 11 kilometers, and internal roads in Marbah with a length of about 10 kilometers, in addition to implementing internal roads in Dibba Al-Fujairah, Al-Tuwaiyin, Al-Qarya, Wadi Al-Sidr, Marishid, Al-Hala, Al-Saiji, Masafi, Al-Balida, Al-Bathna, Awhala, Wadi Mai and Al-Saram, and completing the first phase of Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sharqi Street and developing it according to high-quality international standards. Al-Maksah added that the rehabilitation of a number of internal roads in the emirate's center has contributed to reducing traffic congestion and achieving smooth traffic flow, noting that the Public Works Department, in cooperation with its partners, is working to start the second phase of completing the internal road network in line with the Fujairah Emirate's development plan 2040.
Al-Maksah and the Fujairah Agriculture Department confirmed that the package of new road projects in the emirate aims to establish an integrated infrastructure that contributes to achieving sustainable development, as the Fujairah roads modernization and maintenance works were accompanied by the establishment of a number of public parks, the completion of the Roll Dibba and Al-Tawyeen parks, in addition to the continuation of work in the Al-Bidya and Al-Saiji parks.
The Public Works and Agriculture Department in the Fujairah government, in cooperation with the Fujairah and Dibba Fujairah municipalities and the Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation, is working to bring about a comprehensive change through a modern road network within neighborhoods and residential complexes, according to the highest standards of efficiency, quality and optimal investment of available resources.
